Jason Lewis defeats Angie Craig to win Minnesota's 2nd District

Republican Jason Lewis was elected to the United States House of Representatives Tuesday in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District. He will replace retiring Rep. John Kline, who held the seat for seven consecutive terms.
Lewis, a longtime talk radio host defeated Democratic challenger Angie Craig, a health care executive most recently at St. Jude Medical. Both candidates were political newcomers with no elected office experience.

The race was not called for Lewis until early Wednesday morning after Dakota County, which is part of the 2nd Congressional District, had to re-run their ballots in 140 precincts.
