Step aside Pinterest-worthy pink and blue cupcakes, this baby gender reveal party requires a little more power than plastic forks and knives! Maleah and Matt Knigge of Sartell, Minnesota, are welcoming their first child this December, and they learned it’s a girl in a uniquely Minnesotan way.

Matt plunged a chainsaw into a pink chalk-stuffed log that his brother-in-law put together.

“My brother-in-law, Chip, used a hole saw to put a large hole in the side and packed it full of chalk powder,” Matt told Fox 9. “He made a plug for it then covered up the opening.”

The video was taken Sunday afternoon in White Bear Lake.

“It was a great day. We are both very excited for our baby girl.”

Congratulations Matt and Maleah! Best wishes for a happy and healthy baby. How does Stihl sound for a little girl's name?
