Minneapolis Sculpture Garden pieces temporarily moved to Gold Medal Park

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden will be closed next spring while it undergoes renovations, but some of the most popular pieces will still be available for viewing elsewhere in the city.

Many of the sculptures are temporarily moving to Gold Medal Park near the Guthrie Theater.

“This was a pretty logistically complicated installation and one that was luckily easily accommodated here at the park with these wide open spaces, so we’re thrilled we're able to show them to public here,” Walker Art Center senior curator Siri Engberg said.

The sculpture garden will reopen in the summer of 2017 with a new landscape design.
