Minneapolis police warn of masked gunman robbing apartments

Minneapolis police are warning residents about a masked gunman who has been forcing their way into homes in an apartment complex and robbing the owners at gunpoint.

Residents of Heritage Park Apartments received the warning last week after the apartment complex received numerous reports of home invasions involving a suspect wearing a mask or other item over his face. According to police, the man usually comes around 8 p.m., rings the doorbell and runs inside when the resident opens the door. The suspect then demands money while waving a gun, and in one incident, both a gun and a knife. Four incidents have been reported since August.

No one has been injured in the incidents, but the suspect has taken off with cash, credit cards and a phone.
No arrests have been made and investigators are currently interviewing victims and witnesses.
