Minneapolis police must now activate body cameras for all calls, stops

Minneapolis Police will now activate body cameras on any call they respond to, as well as traffic stops and calls they initiate.

Interim Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced the policy change Wednesday.

The change comes after Minneapolis Police Officer Mohamed Noor fatally shot Justine Damond after she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault outside her home earlier this month. Though the responding officers were wearing body cameras, the devices were not turned on.
