Minneapolis police asking for help locating missing 10-year-old boy

UPDATE: Minneapolis police confirm Elijah Marchon-Montinz Alexander was found safe around 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The Minneapolis Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 10-year-old boy last seen on Sunday afternoon.

Elijah Marchon-Montinz Alexander was last seen on the 2500 block of Sheridan Avenue North around 4 p.m. Police said he suffers from a traumatic brain injury and other conditions that pose a threat to him being out on his own.

"Alexander is described as a mixed-race male, 4 foot 8 inches tall, 111 pounds, short curly afro, and brown eyes," Minneapolis police said. "Alexander was last seen wearing black athletic basketball shorts with purple trim and a beige American Eagle t-shirt. Alexander may be wearing a silver bomber jacket and black Nike shoes."
