Minneapolis man dead after stalled car rear-ended on I-494 Friday
FORT SNELLING, Minn. (KMSP) - A 63-year-old Minneapolis man is dead after his car was rear-ended on I-494 Friday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the man’s Subaru Forester was stalled in the center lane when a Ford transport van driven by a 57-year-old Burnsville man rear-ended it.
The incident occurred on eastbound I-494 at Highway 77 near Fort Snelling at 6:15 p.m.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The driver of the van was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol’s investigation showed alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
