Minneapolis fire truck hit by gunfire

A Minneapolis Fire Department fire engine got hit by gunfire when it got caught in the crossfire of a shooting near 28th St E and Bloomington Ave S, according to Minneapolis Police officials.

Authorities say the fire truck was not the intended target of the shooting.

Fire Engine 5 was returning from a call when it got caught between two cars. One person inside one of the vehicles started shooting at the other car and hit the fire truck.

No one inside the fire engine was harmed. Authorities do not know if anyone inside the two vehicles was injured.
