Metro Mobility software issues could snarl holiday rides

Metro Mobility announced they’re continuing to experience software issues, which could pose problems for holiday travel.

According to a news release:

Metro Mobility is taking ride requests for today and tomorrow, Tuesday, December 22 and Wednesday, December 23 only. Customers with ride requests for December 24 or after should call for those requests on Wednesday, December 23.

The service said they’re continuing to experience technical issues that could cause service delays, but customers who already have rides scheduled will still receive them. Their drivers, however, may be running behind schedule.

What's the problem

Metro Mobility said their “primary issue” is scheduling new rides. They’re still taking them, but a slowdown in the system means it will take longer to schedule those rides, and phone hold times are expected to be longer than usual.

What you need to do

Customers with urgent needs are urged to contact Metro Mobility Customer Services at 651.602.1111. Information about Metro Mobility, which provides nearly 8,000 rides each week day, can be found at on this web page.
