March Recap

- Another month down in 2016 and another month of some unusually warm weather.  There wasn’t a single day that was any more than 5 degrees below average, and the bulk of our days were spent 5, 10, or 15 degrees above average.  7 different records were tied or broken through the month including a tied record for most liquid precipitation falling on March 15 at 0.85”.  Not a snowy month by any stretch of the imagination with just a little over 5” recorded at MSP Airport.  But considering temperatures were as warm as they were, even getting 5” of snow is pretty impressive.  Here is a look back at the month with several of these images coming from the National Weather Service…
