MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Nothing is sweeter than ringing in the new year with a little bundle of joy.
At Maple Grove Hospital, Clare Ruth Charmoli was born at 12:08 a.m. on New Year's Day to parents Justine and Pat of Big Lake, Minnesota. Her entrance into the world makes her the first baby born at the hospital and among the first born in the Twin Cities in 2019.
Clare weighs 7.4 pounds and measures 19.5 inches long. Perhaps most noticeable is her bright red hair; she is the second redhead in the family. Clare is the youngest of three children.
Hours later at the same hospital, another family would celebrate two other very special deliveries, marking the hospital's first twins of the year. Carson Louis and Jack Randall entered the world at 10:50 a.m. and 10:53 a.m., respectively, to parents Lyla Matthewman and Isaiah Trovall. Carson weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces and Jack weighs 4 pounds.
The twin boys will stay at the hospital for a few more weeks until they are ready to go home.
