Man shot outside his home in Little Canada, Minn.

Law enforcement is investigating in Little Canada, Minn. after a man was shot outside his home Thursday night, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say the shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of Rice Street. A 69-year-old man was treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital. 

The resident told police he had gone out to his driveway when he saw an unknown man next to his vehicle. When the resident called out to the man, he heard the click of a gun and was shot at about six to eight times. The suspect then ran way by heading northbound on Rice Street.

Police the described the suspect as a man who was 5 feet 7 inches tall with a skinny build, wearing a ski mask, dark clothes and skinny jeans.

Deputies and K-9 searched the area.
