Man found dead on highway in northeastern Minnesota

The St. Louis County sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a man found in the middle of County Highway 100 near Aurora, Minn. early Sunday morning.

Deputies were called to the area near 3600 County Highway 100 at approximately 4:07 a.m. on a report of a dead man in the road. When deputies arrived on the scene they located the man, later identified as Scott Christensen, on the highway.

According to the St. Louis County sheriff’s office, Christensen had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, although it is unknown if he was deceased prior to sustaining those injuries.

The St. Louis County sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call 911.
