Man found dead of gunshot wound in Minneapolis

A man is dead following a shooting in North Minneapolis shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a man slumped over inside a vehicle at the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Bryant Avenue North, according to a press release.

Officers discovered the man was suffering from a gunshot wound, and paramedics from North Memorial Medical Center determined that the man had died.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the man’s name and cause of death.

Officers from the fourth precinct went door to door gathering information from residents as well as looking for surveillance video. Homicide investigators are asking witnesses or anyone from the community with information to please contact the police department.
