Man allegedly sets fire to books at St. Cloud library

A 47-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly setting fire to books at a St. Cloud library, according to St. Cloud Police.

At about 1:00 p.m., police responded to a report that a man was lighting books on fire on the second floor of the Great River Regional Library.

When officers arrived, they found and arrested Jorge Ozornia of St. Cloud near the entrance of the library. The fire was quickly put out and impacted some furniture and books.

The library was evacuated during the incident. Library staff closed the building for the rest of the day. No one was harmed.

Ozornia is in Stearns County Jail. He faces a felony charge of first degree arson.
