Lemonade stand raising money for boy who died in pool incident

Community members are hosting a lemonade stand to help raise money for the family of a boy who has passed away after he was found unresponsive in a pool this weekend.

Children held the stand at the corner of Lake Lucy Road and Brenden Court in Chanhassen for about four hours Tuesday afternoon to help support the Peso family.

Hennepin County Sheriff's officials say the boy passed away Tuesday afternoon.

According to a CaringBridge page, nine-year-old Daniel Peso had been in the hospital since the incident on Sunday afternoon. He was attending a pool party in Shorewood. Updates on the page say he had shown little brain activity since the incident.

Minnewashta Elementary School in Excelsior also posted words of support on their school board and set up balloons for Daniel outside the school.
