ISANTI, Minn. (FOX 9) - Isanti Fire District crews had an icy night Tuesday while fighting two structure fires in temperatures between 25 and 35 below zero.
Photos taken by the Fire District showed the ice-coated aftermath of the chimney fire and the house fire that required Fire Department attention.
“To say last night/this morning was miserable would be a great understatement,” the Fire District wrote in a Facebook post Wednesday.
The fires were in Athens and Oxford townships and lasted until the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“With air temperatures of -25 to -35 degrees, we got our butts kicked,” the post says. They went on to call the evening “A night we won’t soon forget!”
