Hwy 243 bridge closed after hole appears
CHISAGO COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - The Highway 243 bridge is closed for repairs between Franconia Township, Minn. and Osceola, Wis. for emergency repairs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
There is a hole in the roadway, according to Chisago County Sheriff's Office.
Bridge maintenance staff are assessing bridge damage.
The bridge will be closed through the week until the repairs are completed.
Officials advise travelers use Highway 8 bridge at Taylors Falls/St. Croix Falls or the Interstate 94 bridge at Hudson, Wis. for a different route.
