REWARD: Hopkins police looking for hit-and-run crash witnesses

The fatal hit-and-run crash took place near the intersection of Mainstreet and 17th Avenue in Hopkins, Minn. 

Police in Hopkins, Minnesota are offering a $5,000 reward for information related to a fatal hit-and-run accident in at Mainstreet and 17th Avenue that occurred around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

When officers arrived, they found a woman lying in the roadway with serious injuries. The vehicle that hit the woman fled the scene. Hopkins police say the vehicle that struck Stafford was described as a dark colored SUV.

The victim has been identified as Dolores Stafford, 75, of Hopkins. She died on Oct. 27 from her injuries.

Hopkins police believe there were witnesses to the crash and are asking them to come forward with any information. 

"Dolores Stafford was a longtime resident of Hopkins. We are appealing to the public for help to solve this case and bring some comfort to her family," Hopkins police said in a statement.
