Uber driver threatened with gun by another driver in Uptown

An Uber driver had a gun pointed at him over the weekend in Minneapolis. The incident happened in Uptown on Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue.

According to the criminal complaint, the Uber driver told police another motorist pulled out a gun and pointed it at him and told him he would “f--- him up.”

Kim Xiong was identified by Minneapolis police as the suspect. Police found a loaded handgun in Xiong’s vehicle.

If convicted, Xiong faces up to seven years in prison, a fine of up to $14,000 or both.
