Gopher women return home after turbulent last week

Gophers Women’s Basketball is now home after a recent road trip and the team is looking to even things out with a big game Thursday night.

The team has been on a rollercoaster lately with highs and lows and Coach Lindsay Whalen is hoping The Barn can give them some momentum.

The Gophers are home against Purdue Thursday, tied for third in the conference with a 5-2 record. They are in search of their third Big Ten win and a step towards stability.

The team rebounded from a tough loss to Iowa last week and hit the road in Wisconsin fiercely, beating the Badgers by 28. They lost some gas at the end of the week, falling to Nebraska by six points.

Now, they want to smooth things out at the barn Thursday.
