Funding to keep Hastings homeless shelter open through spring

Dozens of men living at a homeless shelter in Hastings can breathe a sigh of relief.

The Cochran House will stay open through the winter and spring.

The men's homeless shelter was in danger of closing in December, but it has now gathered enough money to stay up and running through May 31.

A temporary rotating shelter in Dakota County, which has 50 beds for men and women, will also be open from November to May.
