(KMSP) - A local nonprofit is bringing a smile to kids’ faces with a new pair of wheels.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz teamed up with Allina Health to collect and donate bikes to kids in need. Donations were collected Saturday at more than 50 drop-off sites throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Organizers say riding a bike isn't just about staying healthy, it also brings you joy.
“A bicycle is your first ticket to go explore the world,” said founder Terry Esau. “Every kid should have that. We think we can help make that happen."
