Four arrested for attacking Vikings fan after 49ers game

Police in California have arrested four people for attacking a Minnesota Vikings fan outside the San Francisco 49ers stadium after last weekend’s game.

The fight happened on the west side of Levi's Stadium near Gate C around 10:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 shortly after the game let out. A video posted to Facebook and Youtube showed a Vikings fan wearing a No. 26 Antoine Winfield jersey on the ground getting kicked and punched by two 49ers fans. The video has since been taken down.

The Santa Clara Police Department said they got a call about the fight, but say by the time they arrived everyone involved had already left. 

A video of the assault was posted to Facebook and Youtube. It has since been taken down.

From the video, Santa Clara police were able to identify Felix Chavira, 32, Juan Arias, 33, Eric Martinez, 30 and a female juvenile, 17, all residents of California.  They were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The 35-year-old victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The 18-year-old security officer who attempted to break up the assault also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
