Teen dies after semi rear-ends horse and buggy in central Minnesota

A 17-year-old boy was killed when a semi rear-ended his horse and buggy on Highway 210 in central Minnesota Thursday morning. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the horse and buggy were traveling westbound on Highway 210 in Bartlett Township around 7:19 a.m. when a semi traveling in the same direction rear-ended them. 

The driver of the horse and buggy, identified as David Jacob Miller of Staples, was ejected in the crash. He was airlifted to North Memorial with fatal injuries. 

The driver of the semi, a 60-year-old Deerwood man, was not injured.
