Ohio Univ. sorority's powerful photoshoot hits back at stereotypes

Young women involved with Ohio University’s Zeta Rho chapter of Delta Gamma have hit back at sorority stereotypes by taking part in a powerful photoshoot. The photos were posted to the sorority’s Facebook page on January 19 and contain images of different members alongside quotes dismissing a stereotype aimed at them, such as one image with the quote, “Society says we marry lawyers, but I’m going to be one.”
The project was created by sorority members Kaitlin Hatton and Elizabeth Harris and in an interview with The Post, Hatton said that "there’s a very obvious negative portrayal about partying and that’s not the case at all. A lot of that is what inspired this. Because we just hear these stereotypes all the time and we know that they aren’t true, we really wanted the public to be able to know that as well.”
