Fake cop pulls over woman, asks for her phone number
Richfield police say a many driving a car simialr to this one is posing as a police officer.
RICHFIELD, Minn. (KMSP) - Richfield Police are warning of someone posing as a police officer.
Richfield PD says in the past two weeks, a man driving a black Ford SUV has both pulled someone over and knocked on someone’s door to ask for directions.
In the first incident, the male pulled over a female driver and tried to solicit her phone number.
Police say the man’s car is equipped with red and blue emergency lights and he has been seen wearing a dark blue uniform.
Richfield PD says if you ever doubt an officer’s authenticity, you can always call 9-1-1 to verify they are legitimate.
