Drugs and guns seized in northern Minn. investigation

A methamphetamine investigation in northern Minnesota led to the discovery of methamphetamine, heroin and psilocybin mushrooms. 

The investigation was conducted by the Cloquet Police Department and the Fond du Lac Police Department.

As a part of the investigation police obtained a search warrant for a residence on the Fond du Lac Reservation. During the search officers found what they suspected to be approximately 135 grams of methamphetamine, heroin and psilocybin mushrooms. Officers also found and seized six firearms from the home.

Johnathon Gregory Maio, 33, of Cloquet was arraigned in Carlton County Court on first degree possession of methamphetamine, fifth degree possession of heroin and fifth degree possession of psilocybin mushrooms. Bail was set for Maio at $100,000.
