Caske Owen, 23, was driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer at a high rate of speed when the vehicle flipped several times, landing near a house.

Owen left the passenger of his vehicle trapped inside and fled the scene and was found inside the house on the 3000 block of Rush Point Drive in Rush City, Minnesota. The owner of the home was not home at the time.

The passenger of Owen’s vehicle was flown to Regions hospital, where their condition is unknown at this time.

Owen suffered a head injury and was flown to a hospital. The sheriff’s office says alcohol may be involved.

Police say the Lancer is equipped with an ignition interlock device.
