Dakota County Technical College cleared after lockdown

- Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minnesota, was put on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a sighting of a person with a possible gun on campus.

Around 1:26 p.m., Dakota County Sheriff's Office received a report from a DCTC student that they saw a male on campus with a possible firearm in a holster. As a precaution the campus went into lockdown at 1:33 p.m. After police searched the campus, the person was not found. Officials lifted the lockdown at 2:45 p.m.

Police do not believe there is a threat at this time. The case is still under investigation.
