The search continues for a missing 26-year-old man who fell into the St. Croix River.

It happened Friday around 8:30 p.m. near Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tour.

Police say Andrew Remley, of Chisago City, slipped on a rock and fell into the water while taking pictures. Remley is the father of two young boys.

The search ended Friday around 10 p.m. and started back up around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Crews called off the search at noon on Saturday due to dangerous conditions.

Authorities are planning a recovery search on Sunday. Officials are still investigating.

The sheriff’s office says people should stay clear of the area because of the very strong current. The St. Croix River is expected to reach near flood stages sometime Saturday because of heavy rains from earlier this week. The DNR says heavy rains have caused some campsites and trails in the area to close.
