Coyote attacks on dogs reported in Bloomington, Minn.

The city of Bloomington, Minn. wants owners of small to medium-sized dogs to be on alert after several reports of coyote attacks in the southwest area of the city.

"We have received several reports of recent coyote attacks on dogs, some resulting in death," the city said in its warning. "This alert also applies to cats. Coyotes have been observed outside and in residential areas both during day and nighttime hours."

Keep your pets safe by staying with them outside. If you see any coyotes, haze them by yelling, clapping or banging pots and pans together.
