Couple still missing after vehicle found in Lake Benton

A couple went missing Sunday after leaving a fish house on Lake Benton in western Minnesota during early morning hours, it is believed they are in the lake. 

According to Lincoln County Sheriff's, family members, friends, and multiple law enforcement agencies have since been searching the lake for Brianna Jean Thooft, 29, and Bradley Allen Lund, 54.

On Monday, the investigation led authorities to believe the vehicle belonging to Thooft and Lund had possibly gone through the lake ice near Norwegian Creek Campground, just north of Lake Benton, Minn.

According to Forum News Service, the couple's vehicle was found at the bottom of the lake, yet the two were not found inside the vehicle. Lund is a well-known area farmer, who has worked in the farming operation for years.

Multiple agencies resumed searches early Wednesday morning.
