Couple returns home after spending the last year in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area

A young couple has spent the last 12 months camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

Dave and Amy Freeman stayed at 120 campsites over the last year. The Freeman’s were on a mission to show others the beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and to help stop proposed mining that threatens the area.

The two left for the BWCA on Sept. 23, 2015 and used satellite technology to share their journey through social media, blogs and radio broadcasts.
