City grants Paisley Park temporary permit to open museum

The City of Chanhassen has granted Paisley Park a temporary permit to open the museum for tours on Oct. 6, 8 and 14. Off-site parking and shuttle bus service to Paisley Park will be available on those three days.

The museum will try to accommodate guests who have tickets for October 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 on the 6, 8 and 14 instead and provide refunds for their original dates.

Paisley Park says it is also in talks with the Mall of America to host an exhibition of Prince artifacts and wardrobe that will possibly open next week. It says the exhibition will be available to all ticket holders during Paisley Park’s review process with the city council.

Paisley Park says it is hopeful it can arrange additional temporary permit dates for guests who have tickets for October 16 and beyond at Paisley Park and will keep guests updated.

The mayor of Chanhassen has requested a work session next Wednesday for the city council to address the council members concerns over the Paisley Park museum proposal.
