ST. ANTHONY, Minn. (KMSP) - A vigil for Philando Castile turned into a protest and closed down the intersection of Snelling Ave and Larpenteur Ave for a short time Monday evening.
Around 5 p.m. about 30 to 40 people gathered at the site where Philando Castile was fatally shot by a St. Anthony police officer earlier this summer.
People started moving into the street and for about 15 minutes blocked off the area to traffic, according to St. Anthony Police. Some people stepped in front of cars with their signs.
Police say the protest was peaceful and people complied and moved out of the street.
There weren't any arrests and no one was injured.
