Cambridge police chief on administrative leave, under gag order

Cambridge Police Chief Tim Dwyer was escorted from City Hall on Friday, and placed on administrative leave, according to the City of Cambridge.

A Facebook post on the city's information page confirms that Dwyer has been placed on leave, and is currently under a gag order.

No reason has been provided about the decision.

Dwyer has been chief of Cambridge police since 2013. Before that, he was an officer in Ramsey.

Cambridge is in Isanti County, roughly an hour north of Minneapolis.
