Black Lives Matter to grade Minneapolis leaders, schools on racial issues

Black Lives Matter Minneapolis and other advocacy groups are now grading the city on its handling of racial issues. Voices for Racial Justice already grades the state of Minnesota on racial justice issues, but Thursday morning the groups announced they will now issue an Our Minneapolis report card on the city's leaders, schools and parks.

“Our goal is simple,” said Voices for Racial Justice executive director Vina Kay. “We will elevate the leadership and solutions that lead for racial equity in Minneapolis.”

The groups say this will be the first racial equity report card focusing just on one specific city. The Our Minneapolis report card will be released this fall.
