Bear cubs escape dumpster in northern Minnesota--with a little help, of course

- A housekeeper at a vacation rental company in Lutsen, Minn. got quite the scare Wednesday when a bear turned up in a dumpster outside one of their properties.

Even after escaping, the bear hung around the area all morning, and it was only after investigating that staff members at Cascade Vacation Rentals found the reason why: Two baby bears, still in the dumpster, were too small to make the escape by themselves.

They fashioned a makeshift ladder and prodded the cubs out of the dumpster, and the family ran off into the woods--happily ever after.

In the meantime, staff are looking into how the bears got into the dumpster.
