Fire at Forest Lake, Minn. gun range not suspicious, authorities say

FOREST LAKE, Minn. (KMSP) - Authorities are responding to a fire at Lake's Trading Co. Gun Shop and Range in Forest Lake, Minn.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene near 95 SW 8th Ave., after the initial call came in at 8:37 p.m. A police spokesperson tells Fox 9 there have been no reports of injuries.

Lakes Trading was declared a total loss. Other occupants of the same building sustained minor damage. 

The fire does not look suspicious at this time, but the Minnesota State Fire Marshal is investigating, according to the Forest Lake Police Department. 

Lake's Trading Co. confirmed on Facebook everyone was safe and there were no injuries.

"We are grateful for our Lakes Trading family/employees that are there for each other in tough times like this," the Facebook post said. "We're grateful for the fire and police departments for doing such a wonderful job. And most importantly, we are grateful to all of you in our community for being so kind with your words and support as well as offering volunteer to help us as we take this day by day."
