Armed domestic assault suspect shot, killed by Rochester police officer
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KMSP) - A tactical officer from the Rochester Police Department shot and killed an armed domestic assault suspect Sunday in rural Fillmore County, Minnesota.
According to the Fillmore County sheriffs’ office, the suspect had left the scene of the assault by the time deputies arrived, but was later located at his home. A tactical team was called to assist deputies due to the suspect’s criminal history and his known access to weapons.
The Fillmore County sheriff has asked the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the use of deadly force.
