Police issued an Amber Alert from Iowa Tuesday evening for three young sisters who officials believed were possibly headed to Minnesota.

Authorities believed eight-year-old twins Lillian and Adia Johnson-Enos, along with their four-year-old sister Olivia Arzaga, were abducted by their biological mother Tuesday morning in the rural town of Royal, Iowa. The children had previously been removed from the care of 25-year-old Danica Arzaga and were in the custody of a relative at the time of their disappearance.

The three children were found abandoned at an address in Sanborn, Iowa, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. The Department of Human Services took the children to another location.

The mother, Arzaga, is still missing. She is 5 foot 3, with black hair and purple highlights on top of her head.

Authorities are believe she is driving a maroon 2003 Cadillac with Iowa license plate 561-XEY, driving on what they say is a spare tire on one side.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
