WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (FOX 11) - Actor Jamie Foxx is being called a hero as he sprung into action, saving a driver from an overturned car that caught fire.
According to a post from the Safety For Citizens Community Group on Facebook, this accident happened on Monday evening at around 8:30pm on a road in front of Jamie's home in Hidden Valley, which is located northeast of Los Angeles.
Witnesses from Safety For Citizens said Foxx told CHP officers that he heard the accident outside his home followed by screaming, ran to the scene and noticed the driver still buckled into his seat.
Jamie told officers from the CHP that he managed to reach the car, unbuckle the man and then drag him away from the wreck.
The driver was transported from the scene to a local hospital with what CHP declared as only major injuries.
Ventura County Firefighters managed to extinguish the car and clear the roadway around 10:00pm.
