A COLD Thursday

Welcome back to March! Well, not really… it just felt like we made a leap back in time.  Thursday was the coldest day in more than 6 weeks with even some snow flying early in the morning.  Record cold high temperatures were set in Duluth, St Cloud, International Falls, and tied in Eau Claire.  All other official reporting stations had their 2nd coldest April 27th on record.  For the metro, with a high of just 36°, it was the coldest day since March 15 and the average high around the 5th of March.  Unfortunately for those looking for spring, this cold spell will not be a one and done as another round of very chilly air will likely move in late in the weekend and early next week.
