The DNR wants the public’s help to design a new specialty license plate to help capture the essence of Minnesota state parks and trails.
The new license plates should be available in October of this year, the plate itself will provide free entry to all of the state’s parks and recreation areas.
Entries for the contest will be accepted from May 2, until 4 p.m. Friday, May 6. Judges of the contest will pick three finalists who will then be put up for an online vote.
The cost of the new plates will start at $60.
