8 months, 1 cold trail, endless love for missing Scott Kleppen

- There’s a search on land, and there’s a search inside their heads.

In the eight months since Scott Kleppen’s truck was found in a parking lot in Sandstone, searchers scoured treacherous terrain, family members wondered whether he was inspired by American hiker Chris McCandless, who died after venturing into the Alaskan wilderness in 1992, his 23rd birthday passed, and all efforts have been fruitless.

That’s why Kleppen’s family and friends have been left searching their minds every single day for the young man whose trail is hold, but his family’s love is burning hot.

His family wants hunters this weekend especially to be on the lookout. The search group, United Legacy, was out searching again on Saturday, and more searches are in the works. The family is asking for help on their “Hand in Hand Search for Scott Kleppen” Facebook page.

He is 6-foot-2 with blue eyes and dark blonde hair. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pine County Sheriff’s Department.
