8-foot python caught in park near Glencoe, Minn.

- An eight-foot long python was found in a park near Glencoe, Minn. Saturday and the McLeod County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in determining who it belongs to.

Deputies caught the python in Buffalo Creek Park after visitors reported seeing a large snake in the area.

The snake has been turned over to an animal shelter and will be eligible for adoption if the owner does not claim it within five days. Anyone who is missing a snake is asked to contact the McLeod County Sheriff’s office.
