78-year-old pedestrian fatally struck at St. Paul intersection

A 78-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in St. Paul, Minnesota Wednesday afternoon, according to St. Paul Police. 

Officials identified the victim as Ker Par of St. Paul.

Sgt. Mike Ernster says Ker was in the crosswalk heading south on Arlington, when he was hit by a car heading west.

Emergency crews took Ker to Regions Hospital, where he later died.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with police. Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor. Police say it was a slow speed crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
