69-year-old woman in critical condition after being hit by vehicle in St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A 69-year-old woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in St. Paul. The incident happened on Thursday around 4 p.m. in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood.

St. Paul police say Sharon Pfeifer was hit when she was crossing Grand Avenue near Saratoga Street.

The driver of the vehicle cooperated with police and the incident appears to be an accident and remains under investigation. Investigators say the car was only going about 10 to 15 MPH, but Pfeifer suffered a serious head injury.

Pfeifer’s husband says his wife works for the DNR. He also says his wife is in good shape, which could help her chances of making a full recovery.
