HOPKINS, Minn. (KMSP) - With a red truck, a red suit and the same first name as Santa Claus, tow truck driver Kris Macphail couldn’t resist playing the part during his shift on Christmas.
“Someone got sick earlier in the week and the whole deal was I would work if someone bought me a Santa Claus outfit. [I’m] kind of eating my words know,” Macphail, a part-time tow truck driver for Kustom Karriers in Hopkins, Minn. said.
By helping people during what is often a stressful moment of on any day, let alone on a holiday, Macphail realized his uniform change also helped change attitudes.
“People don't expect to be in those situations, when you can show up and make them laugh and be kinda funny joke wiht them it kinda changes the situation,” Macphail said.
